Both claimants and respondents can trust Greg Wood to provide unbiased and objective expert opinion. Greg’s proficiency in the securities industry enables him to provide credible explanation, analysis, and testimony that enable the trier of fact to comprehend the issues and facts of a case.

As a Securities Expert Witness, since 2004, Greg Wood has extensive securities litigation support experience:
- More than 168 attorneys located nationally have retained Greg Wood
- Greg Wood has been retained in more than 327 matters
- Greg Wood has testified in Arbitration, State Court Or Federal Court over 67 times
Greg has experience in cases regarding employment, hiring contracts and promissory notes, securities transactions, damage calculations, and other broker-dealer/customer issues. For example, in cases where a stockbroker makes recommendations to a client, those recommendations must comport with the client’s objectives, risk tolerance, time horizon and other important factors that are brought to the registered representative’s attention. The client’s profile is memorialized in documentation in the firm’s books and records. Greg has the experience and software to analyze securities transactions and to determine suitability based upon individual case facts. Should a statement of claim be filed, Greg has the software, which enables him to develop market adjusted damages reports.
As a case begins, the securities expert often adds value by helping retaining counsel use proper industry terms and identifies specific securities industry documents, which streamline the discovery process. As the case develops the expert analyzes case information, prepares demonstrative exhibits, accounting reports and develops opinions. At a hearing, the expert witness will work with the retaining counsel to help him/her understand direct examination and cross examination testimony and finally testify about his opinions regarding the facts of the case. In this testimony the expert witness will offer insight and opinions into how these facts apply to the existing FINRA, SEC and state regulations, Broker-Dealer policies and procedures and customs, and practices of the industry.
Securities litigation is a delicate and complex area of practice. Laws surrounding securities are intricate, and cases involving these laws often have high stakes attached to them. As a qualified expert witness, Greg has knowledge, skill, education, experience, and training to explain the complex set of regulations. When he analyzes case facts, discovery, writes reports and develops expert opinions, Greg considers the matter from the viewpoint of a plaintiff’s expert, a defendant’s expert and a FINRA arbitrator.
Both claimant/plaintiff and respondent/defense firms retain Securities Litigation Support, LLC. This broad litigation business and experience base combined with Greg’s experience as a FINRA Arbitrator assures our customers receive objective unbiased analysis and testimony.
Greg takes the lead on all cases, but has assembled a solid team of litigation service professionals across the country, should additional assistance be warranted. On such occasions — where appropriate and with retaining counsel’s agreement — one of these expert team members may join the case to ensure clients receive the highest standard of service. The team consists of experts in specific products or activities, accountants and qualified experienced testifiers.
