Initial Matter Review – Telephone, In Person or Virtual. | No Charge |
Hourly Rate – Research, Exhibits, Reports and Review. | $350 Per Hour |
Testimony or Hearing Attendance – In Person or Virtual. | $3,500 Per Day |
Travel by personal automobile is charged at the prevailing IRS automobile mileage rate plus actual expenses. Air travel is charged at the lowest non-stop refundable coach rate plus actual expenses. Travel time is charged at the prevailing hourly base rate in half-day increments and multiples. | |
Miscellaneous supplies such as, faxes, copies, postage, overnight delivery, parking, etc. are charged at cost. | |
Subpoena compliance related costs, not collected from the issuing party, will be charged to the client. | |
Account Analysis – Forensic accounting reports and other professional services such as printing, binding and electronic presentations may be subcontracted. These are billed at cost.** |
Terms
Retainer – Minimum $5,000 retainer paid in advance. Any amount of this retainer, in excess of the amount billed against it, is non–refundable. Charges exceeding the original retainer are billed monthly. SLS may request an additional retainer at any time and reserves the right to suspend work including travel or deposition, trial or hearing testimony until such additional retainer is received.
**Account Analysis may be provided by an unaffiliated third-party company and is not covered by the retainer. An additional retainer amount equal to the estimated cost is required in advance of the outside analysis firm commencing work. Supplier’s direct billing to the client eliminates this retainer.
Billing is monthly • Terms: net 20 days • Past due balances are charged a 1 ½% monthly penalty • Accounts must be current before the first deposition, hearing or trial date and paid in full prior to any testimony rendered by Greg Wood.
